CHRISTMAS 2007
This winter we adopted a family through the Salvation Army for the holidays. It involved supplying food for the family as well as gifts for the children in the family. This event was a huge success and we feel so honored to have been able to be a part of such a rewarding event! We were overwhelmed with the outcome, and with the generosity of our community & we know that the family we adopted is now able to have a VERY merry Christmas!
Thank you to ALL the cheerleaders, cheerleader parent/guardians/family, TCHS staff, and other community members who participated! Your kind heart has changed a family's life this Christmas!
SPCA Donation Fundraiser - November 2007
The entire month of November our team held a donation fundraiser for our local SPCA. In addition to our own donations, we accumulated from our amazing community members- cleaning supplies, laundry soap, hand soap, dog beds, blankets, dog biscuts, cat food, dog food, rawhide bones and more! It was a great success & we thank everyone who donated! The animals & the employees of the SPCA were thankful!
Picture letter below is the thank you letter we recently received from the SPCA. The employee who wrote it is an Alumna of TCHS, and although the letter is hard to read- is expresses thanks on behalf the SPCA employees & animals. She states that she is proud to be an alumna of a school & community who is so generous!
Breast & Ovarian Cancer Awareness
This past October, we held a breast cancer & ovarian cancer awareness fundraiser during a volleyball game at our school. The outcome was a success! This fundraiser was an attempt to make EVERYONE aware of these cancers! We are trying to plan another fundraiser later in our season. Still available... jelly bracelets $2, pens $1, pins $3... Proceeds will benefit the following: The Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The Live Like Liz Foundation & The Raider Cheerleading Team.
